Ahmad Jamal Al Madhoun, journalist and deputy director of the Al Rai News Agency, has been killed in an Israeli air strike on Sunday.

According to the Gaza Government Media Office, his death raises the death toll among journalists since October 7th to 101. More than 50 media offices have also been devastated by Israeli attacks according to a report by Al Jazeera. According to information collected by Reporters Without Borders, a Paris-based press freedom group, Palestinian journalists may be deliberately targeted by Israeli forces and their deaths should be labeled as “intentional homicides of civilians.” The press freedom group filed a second complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the alleged war crimes committed by Israeli armed forces against Palestinian Journalists on Friday.

In the Gaza Strip, weeks of restricted access to food have resulted in a severe hunger crisis, with the risk of famine increasing every day.
