Dr. Yunus Becomes the President of the Financial University Advisory Board

Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has been appointed as the President of the International Advisory Board of the Financial University of Moscow, Russia.

A meeting was held between Professor Muhammad Yunus and the Rector Professor of the Financial University, Stanislav Prokofiev under the Government of the Russian Federation, on November 23. This information was informed in a circular sent from Yunus Center on Monday.

Financial University is one of the top 5 universities in Russia with 3000 academic staff. Last year, at a lecture to the faculty and students at the invitation of the university, Dr. Yunus shared his thoughts and vision of building a new civilization based on social business to achieve the goals of “three zeros” i.e. zero net carbon emissions, zero resource concentration and zero unemployment.

The International Advisory Board of the Financial University will act as a consultative higher education committee with the main objective of leveraging various international experiences in the respective fields, providing in-depth expert-analysis, making various recommendations for strategic development, academic research and innovation for the University.
