A 20-minute Theatrical Performance Named 'The Strange Vortex' Going to Take Place This Friday

Mark your calendars for a night of enchantment this Friday as the Gidree Bawlee Children’s Team, under the inspired leadership of Sumi Rani, presents ‘The Strange Vortex/অবাক ঘূর্ণি’ on Friday, 8 March 2024, at 7 pm.

The captivating performance will take place at Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, House 8, Road 7, Gulshan 1, and is open to all.

Established in 2018, the Gidree Bawlee puppet performance group has been a creative force, drawing from the community’s cultural heritage. This collaborative piece explores societal constraints on imagination and freedom, with the children’s team adding a unique layer drawn from their own experiences. The fusion of cultural heritage, international influences, and the creative brilliance of Gidree Bawlee promises an evening of artistic excellence and cultural exploration.
