The European Union (EU) seeks to hold a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal on November 27 ahead of the 12th National Parliament elections.

The EU has sent a letter to discuss with the CEC on Wednesday. European Union Ambassador to Dhaka Charles Whiteley has sent an email to the CEC expressing his interest in the project.

In the letter, the EU ambassador said that preparations are being made for the upcoming twelfth national parliament. “I would like to have an opportunity to participate in a joint meeting at your office to know more details about the current work plan of the Election Commission,” the EU ambassador said in the email.” I look forward to your consent to exchange views,” adds the email.
