Empower her: International Women's Day Competition

Empower Her: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress’ was held on the 8th of March at Charukola, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka! This program was held in of honour International Women’s Day. The esteemed judges gave thought-provoking and inspiring speeches. Audience present had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of the stunning art exhibits. People who attended the event could participate in the excitement of live painting swaps. Audience also joined in celebrating the remarkable talent during the awards ceremony. Awards were given to outstanding women artists in various categories.
This inspirational event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, the Honourable State Minister, Naheed Ezhar Khan, from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of Bangladesh. Moreover, the exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Sadeka Halim, Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University. The event was organised by Plat-forms and Faculty of Fine Art, DU, supported by UN Women Bangladesh and powered by ISHO. Rayana Hossain, Founder of Plat-forms and ISHO was one of the judges. The aim of this gracious event was to promote empowering initiatives, and collectively appreciate and uplift the spirit of women in our society.
